Antigua Sailing School- Cruising and Passage Making CoursesCoastal Passage Making- Sailing from AntiguaCertification: US Sailing Coastal Passage Making; ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising (106) Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, Coastal Navigation Dates Available: November 30- December 5, 2009 May 2-7, 2010 Course Structure This course is a 5 day course, starting on Monday and finishing on Saturday. CPM challenges those students who have taken Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, CoNav or have the equivalent qualifications. Everything you learned from the aforementioned courses is put to use along with new skills you master through this course. Some of these skills include night time approaches to anchorages, night time man overboards, full on navigation, lights at night, standing watches, proper customs and immigration procedures, and all of the safety items one must know when sailing out of sight of land. Along with your ongoing studies we will visit Iles des Saintes and Dominica. Tuition The group tuition rate is $2,495 per person (maximum 4 students). Tuition includes the Coastal Passage Making text, night of arrival sleep aboard, cruising permit, provisioning for 5 days (5 breakfasts; 4 lunches; 2 dinners; snacks and starter kit); USSA Coastal Passage Making/ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising (106) certification fee. Not included in the tuition are drinking water and other beverages, ice, port clearing fees, 3 dinners ashore, Antigua departure tax, instructor's gratuity. A minimum deposit of 50% of total package is due at the time of the booking. Balance is due 60 days prior to the course start date. Coastal Navigation The Coastal Navigation course (US Sailing CoNav or ASA 105) prerequisite is offered in conjunction with this course. Tuition is discounted from $295 to $250 when taken in combination with CPM. Cancellation/Change Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing. A $200 per person processing fee is charged on all cancellations. No refunds or transfers allowed for defaults, and cancellations less than 60 days prior to start date of the course.
