Course Structure

This course is a 6 day/5 night course, starting on Monday and finishing on Saturday.

CPM challenges those students who have taken Basic Keelboat and Live Aboard Cruising or have the equivalent qualifications. Everything you learned from the aforementioned courses is put to use along with new skills you master through this course. Some of these skills include night time approaches to anchorages, night time man overboards, full on navigation, lights at night, standing watches, proper customs and immigration procedures, and all of the safety items one must know when sailing out of sight of land.

We offer three itineraries for this course:

  • BVI - St. Martin - St. Barths - BVI
  • BVI - St. Croix - St. Thomas - St. John - BVI

The tuition rate for the group Coastal Passage Making course ranges from $2,395 - $2,495 per person December through May. Rate includes the Passage Making text, first night hotel accommodations, cruising permit, provisioning for 5 days (5 breakfasts; 4 lunches; 2 dinners; snacks and starter kit); US Sailing Passage Making or Advanced Coastal Cruising certification fee.

A minimum deposit of 50% of total package is due at the time of the booking. Balance is due 60 days prior to the course start date.

Cancellation/Change Policy:
All cancellations must be received in writing. A $200 per person processing fee is charged on all cancellations. No refunds or transfers allowed for defaults, and cancellations less than 60 days prior to start date of the course.
