Originally from Southampton in the UK, Emma has been sailing all her life on boats big and small. As a young girl, Emma sailed weekends and holidays around the UK and Europe on the family sailboat. At age 10 she decided she wanted to race and sail her own dinghy. After many years in the UK's youth training program Emma ended up in Australia at the 420 Women's World Championships. Finishing top 20 she went backpacking for a year and got to do some awesome sailing up the East coast of Australia. Arriving back in the UK, Emma and her crew got a wild card for the next Women's World Championship in Belgium and took 6th.
After a short management apprenticeship outside the sailing world, Emma returned to start her career in the marine industry and worked for a UK chandlery, Holt Blocks and Bainbridge International before heading to the idyllic BVI where she has worked in the charter industry for the past 14 years. Emma is an ASA certified Keelboat instructor.
