Swain Sailing Passage Making and Delivery Course
Passage Making is a 6 day/5 night course that challenges those students who have taken Basic Keelboat and Live Aboard Cruising or have the equivalent qualifications. Everything you learned from the aforementioned courses is put to use along with new skills you master through this course. Some of these skills include night time approaches to anchorages, night time man overboards, full on navigation, lights at night, standing watches, proper customs and immigration procedures, and all of the safety items one must know when sailing out of sight of land.
We offer several itineraries for this course:
Coastal Passage Making (ASA 106):
Prerequisite: ASA 104, 105 (may be added as a supplement).
BVI - St. Martin - St. Barths (or Anguilla) - BVI

Delivery and Offshore Passage Making courses (ASA 108):
Prerequisite: ASA 106, 107 or 117 (117 may be added as a supplement or a challenge), 108

A minimum deposit of 50% of total package is due at the time of the booking. Balance is due 60 days prior to the course start date.
*For our Delivery courses the finish date is always estimated and is dependent on wind and weather conditions. We recommend that crew arranging airfare purchase tickets that can be changed without penalty. This does not apply to our standard Passage Making courses.

This course may be taken for non certification with the required sailing (cruising) experience. If certifying, there are 3 lower level prerequisites:
