Family Charters - Incorporating sailing instruction into your family charter  Parents and family members over 18 years of age who have the Basic Keelboat prerequisite may choose to achieve their Bareboat Cruising/Bareboat Charter certification within their family sail. For those requiring the Basic Keelboat precursor course, this course can be accomplished as an intensive 2 day course, or the standard 3 day course. Children 12 and older may also participate in the Basic Keelboat course and test for the certification. We do recommend a less intensive pace (3-4 days preferred) for kids. This is a day course and on shore accommodations will need to be arranged. The Accommodations section provides information and rates on the hotels we recommend.
