Rob Swain Sailing School and Charters-New England Campus, Portsmouth, Rhode Island

Located on the northern tip of Aquidneck Island, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Rob Swain Sailing School and Charters' base is directly across the Sakonnet River from Tiverton. From our location, it’s a short sail to Narragansett Sound which is wide open and deep, with stunning Rhode Island vistas of uninhabited islands, farms rolling down to the water’s edge, and plenty of bridges.

Just a short distance from Newport and out of the hustle and bustle of Newport's Inner Harbor, our location in Brewer's Sakonnet Marina offers a lovely setting and relaxing starting point for our cruising courses; and an ideal spot for our Basic Keelboat course.  

Brewer's Sakonnet Marina is a full service marina that offers a nice pool, picnic area, bbq grills, playground, volleyball court, showers, laundry service, rec room, with a convenient store and restaurants nearby.

Easily accessible from the mainland, just off Route 24, RSSS is a 40 minute drive from the Providence Airport (PVD) and a one hour drive from Boston's Logan Airport (BOS).
