Press Releases BVI Spring Regatta 2010- RSSS’ Student Racers Take First in Nanny Cay Cup and 2nd and 5th in the Spring Regatta Conditions this year were light to moderate for the BVI with winds to 18 kts. RSSS entered two boats in the Bareboat B class, both commanded by students with their instructors assisting with tactics. Four races were completed over the Regatta weekend combining around island racing with some triangles in the Sir Francis Drake Channel and Caribbean Sea. Students alternated between driving, trimming and tactics, giving everyone plenty of experience at these various roles. The Sailing Festival is the first part of the series and consists of three distance races. The second part, the BVI Spring Regatta, is three days of short course racing.
