​Asa 105 Coastal navigation

Master the essential skills for safe and accurate coastal cruising. This online ASA 105 course teaches you how to read nautical charts, use tide and current tables, and apply the USCG Navigation Rules.

 

You'll learn to plot positions, calculate course corrections for current and leeway, and convert between true and magnetic bearings. With practical exercises like dead reckoning and fixing your position using bearings, you’ll build the confidence to plan and navigate coastal passages with precision and safety.
