Yacht Management

Consider Joining the Swain Fleet

Swain Sailing offers professional yacht management for a variety of sailing and power vessels, including monohull and multihull, typically ranging from 36-54 feet. Our most popular models include Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Hanse, Bavaria, Beneteau and Jeanneau. Putting your boat into charter management allows owners a flexible usage plan for their yacht while earning revenue when the yacht is utilized for training. Owners have the option to maximize their revenue potential by including bareboat charters in addition to skippered charters.

Yacht management can help offset your overhead costs such as dockage, insurance and any maintenance required to keep your vessel in pristine condition inside and out. Not only will you have the peace of mind that your boat is earning revenue, but you can take comfort knowing that it is being looked after and meticulously maintained by our ABYC certified technicians and cleaning staff.

If you have any questions about the kind of boat you are looking into purchasing, we can help! Certain boats and layouts are more successful in the charter industry than others. We can give you a much clearer idea of what spec is best for you, based on your desire to rent more or sail more. We can help you decide on models and features that are more popular for charter, or ones that appeal to your personal preferences for living aboard.

Take advantage of Swain's year round revenue potential through our North/South program. Spend beautiful New England summers in Jamestown, Rhode Island or get away for the winter to our base in the Virgin Islands.

Offshore Delivery Opportunity

At Swain Sailing we have a very unique delivery program that allows you to transport your vessel between our North and South Locations. Through our ASA affiliation, we offer an advanced offshore qualification that will help offset some of the cost for the delivery of your vessel. This passage can be split up into 2 legs with a stop in Bermuda, or it can be done without a stop. Our certified captains/instructors will keep the boat and the crew safe, expect 10-12 days from start to finish of this passage.

When schedules allow, owners may take advantage of this incredible opportunity to experience this passage, putting you hundreds of nautical miles offshore. Surrounded by the Atlantic ocean, one can see pods of dolphin, fluke, whales and more. At night, experience the beautiful stars and constellations free of any light pollution, comets breaking through the atmosphere as well as the occasional bioluminescence. All while practicing celestial and offshore navigational skills and techniques. For more information, please visit our Offshore Passage Making page.
